Replicated from screen-used and production-made rank devices, these hand-made and hand-assembled rank uniform jewelry devices -"pips"- are fully metal, using rare-Earth magnets in both the individual pip and backing device. Each pip is distinctively weathered, replicating the look first introduced in Star Trek™: The Next Generation. With this offering, the mainstay uniform devices of the 24th century have been brought into the 21st.

I ordered this and the Commander version. Each arrived with one of the magnets detached from the pip. A little super glue fixed it, but now I'm worried about losing them due to poor gluing. That being said, they do look great!

        Great, accurate and sturdy pips. Magnets work well through just up to sweatshirt thickness. If wearing on a high collar, the weight of the pips can pull down weak material.
