This no-holds-barred autobiography chronicles the remarkable life of Phil Robertson, the original Duck Commander and Duck Dynasty star, from early childhood through the founding of a family business.

Life was always getting in the way of Phil Robertson’s passion for duck hunting.

An NFL-bound quarterback, Phil made his mark on Louisiana Tech University in the 1960s by playing football and completing his college career with a master’s degree in English. But Phil’s eyes were not always on the books or the ball; they were usually looking to the sky.

Phil grew up with the dream of living the simple life off the land like his forebears, but he soon found himself on a path to self-destruction—leasing a bar, drinking too much, fighting, and wasting his talents. He almost lost it all until he gave his life to God. And then everything changed.

Phil’s incredible story tells how he followed a calling from God and soon after invented a duck call that would begin an incredible journey to the life he had always dreamed of for himself and his family. With great love for his country, his family, and his maker, Phil has finally found the ingredients to the “good life” he always wanted.

Phil Robertson is an amazing Christian, businessman, father, and husband. He has gone through a lot and he has a no-nonsense philosophy which is refreshing. He tells of his life in great detail and how he came to know the Lord and finally give his life to Him. Miss Kay is equally as remarkable. I look for a book from her also if she would write one. Everyone needs to read this book. I hope he writes more. I would also like to hear him speak if he would be in Ohio. Thanks, Phil.

This book was such an easy read! It was like Phil Robertson was sitting back in my easy chair, just speaking his mind. Lots of inside info about the off screen personalities of his family. Guess what! They're the same on screen and off screen. I was very moved by Phil's true belief in the Lord. At times it brought tears to my eyes. You will identify with a lot of what this good man has to share! Enjoy!

I have read a lot of books but Happy, Happy, Happy is the best by far. Funny, realistic, gives the reader a warm feeling, very spiritually uplifting. Caused me to evaluate my life and orchestrated my return to church. I shared the book and its contents with many others, hoping they will get the same good feeling I did.

I picked up this book and didn't put it down until I finished every page. Love Phil's common sense, God loving attitude toward life.
